Exam Programs
STAND OUT Dance Collective is proud to offer students the opportunity to complete exams in Ballet and Tap. Exams are very beneficial to well-rounded dance training. Exam training enhances technique, style, and artistry within each dancer. Exam training works well to compliment each student, allowing students to create personal goals and achieve excellence. STAND OUT Dance Collective stands behind the importance of exams for student success. Examinations help to develop important traits in our dancers such as a strong work ethic, detail orientation, perseverance, and determination. Exam certificates are a fabulous addition to any dancer's training and are credible artifacts for resumes and career portfolios.
Royal Academy of Dance (RAD)
"The Royal Academy of Dance is one of the world’s most influential dance education and training organisations, with its global headquarters in London. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to learn to dance.
The RAD’s patron is Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and our President is Dame Darcey Bussell, DBE. With a strong global membership in 85 countries and offices in 36, we have an incredible global network of passionate and skilled employees, teachers and members, each shaping and influencing the future of dance.
Our higher education programmes are regulated and a recent Ofsted inspection found the RAD to be an ‘outstanding’ provider of initial teacher education. The RAD’s examinations are recognised by Ofqual and contribute to UCAS points.
There are currently over 1,000 students in full-time or part-time dance teacher training programmes and each year the RAD’s renowned classical ballet examination syllabus is taught to thousands of young people worldwide, with around a quarter of a million pupils per year going on to take our exams.
Established in 1920 by a group of eminent dance professionals representing the leading ballet styles of the period with the aim of improving the standards of dance teaching, initially in the UK, our founders would be proud of their legacy." (Royal Academy of Dance, n.d.)

STAND OUT Dance Collective offers training in RAD Ballet Exams and many students complete an exam each year. Primary to Advanced students to train in RAD syllabus work.
Canadian Dance Teachers Association (CDTA)
"The aims of the CDTA are to advance education in the field of dance and maintain throughout Canada an organization of qualified dance teachers.
The CDTA was formed in Vancouver, BC and Toronto, Ont in 1949. There are now Branches in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Ontario, Quebec and Atlantic Provinces." (CDTA, n.d.)

At STAND OUT Dance Collective we provide training for CDTA Tap Exams and have many students complete successful exams each year. CDTA provides more insight for students into the history, terminology, rhythm, and counting of steps. STAND OUT Dance Collective sees the advantages on providing CDTA training to our students and are proud to do so.
